Soothing Skin Salve

February 22, 2015

With as cold and dry of a winter that we have had so far, who isn't suffering from dry, itchy skin?

If you are, there's a way to soothe your skin and keep it moisturized that is completely natural and free of chemicals and helps keep your skin smooth and beautiful.

This salve does wonders for eczema as well and worked so much better than any steroidal cream or eczema cream that my son's dermatologist and allergist gave us to clear up his severe eczema.  His dermatologist was blown away by the results we got with this salve after trying several of her creams for 3 months without any success.  She told us to only use this salve from now on! :-)

Here's the recipe:

Soothing Skin Salve

Ingredients:
1/2 cup grapeseed oil
1/2 cup almond oil
2 tablespoons beeswax
1/2 tablespoon vitamin E oil
5 drops each: Lavender, Cypress, Melaleuca, Frankincense, and Geranium essential oils
Directions:
1. Melt beeswax in double boiler.
2. Once melted, add grapeseed, almond, and vitamin E oil and stir until all liquid.
3. Once combined, set aside for 2-3 minutes.
4. Add essential oils and stir.
5. Pour in container and allow to set for 2 hours.

Makes 8 oz. of salve
